Dashboard

The Dashboard is the page Nydli opens on. You'll see what you've starred, what's due today, what you were last on and how the hours are going. It's a fixed set of sections rather than a widget builder, so you choose which ones you want and where they go, and you don't have to set anything up before it's useful.

The sections

Favourites is a row of pills, categories in one row and tasks in another. Star anything with the star that appears on its row, and it turns up here. Drag them into the order you want, or use the arrow keys. Unstarring offers an undo.

Today lists your open tasks due today, with anything overdue grouped in red at the top. The circle at the front of a row marks a task done without opening it.

Up next is what comes after today, within a horizon you set per section: tomorrow, 7, 14 or 30 days. Dates inside the coming week show as weekday names.

Last worked on is the tasks you last tracked time against, each with a start button, so picking yesterday's job back up takes one click. It's the same list the header's quick-start panel reads.

This week is the hours you've logged, as a bar per day with the total above it and the categories they went to underneath. The period is a setting on the section: today, this week, this month or this year.

Billable splits the same hours by one of your label trees, so you can see what share of the month was billable. It starts hidden, because it has to ask which tree answers that question before it can show anything, and it needs a tree where every task carries exactly one value. See One value per tree.

Making it yours

Every section has a grip in its header, which you drag or move with the arrow keys, and a menu for its own settings. You can set it to full or half width, hide it, or change whatever that section offers, like the overdue group or the horizon.

Nydli saves the arrangement for you, not for the workspace. Everybody who shares a workspace gets their own.
