Signing in

You sign in with your email address and your password. If two-factor authentication is on, Nydli then asks for a code. See Keeping your account safe for setting those up.

Forgotten your password

Forgot your password? on the sign-in page takes your email address and sends you a link to set a new one. The link works once and runs out after an hour, so ask for a fresh one if you come back to it later. Ask for too many in a row and Nydli makes you wait a few minutes before the next.

The reply says a link is on its way if an account exists for that address. We word it that way on purpose, so nobody can use the form to find out whether you're a Nydli customer.

Setting the new password doesn't sign you out anywhere. Changing it from Settings → Security does. See Changing your password.

The two-factor code

After your password, Nydli asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app. Codes change every 30 seconds, so use the newest one if Nydli refuses the first.

Use a backup code instead takes one of the codes you saved when you turned two-factor on. Each one works once, and then it's spent.

Two things can stop you here:

  • Too many failed attempts. Nydli locks the attempt for a few minutes. Wait and go again.
  • The attempt ran out. The code prompt doesn't wait forever. Sign in again and you get a fresh one.

Lost the phone and the backup codes both? Get in touch. We can take two-factor off the account once we know it's you.

"This address isn't confirmed yet"

A new account isn't finished until you follow the confirmation link we email. Signing in before that says so, and sends you a fresh link there and then.

The confirmation link asks for the password you chose when you created the account, and it works for 24 hours. If yours has run out, or you've already used it, sign in and Nydli sends another.

Invitation links work exactly once and expire after 7 days. The page names which of those has happened, and whether somebody withdrew it. In every case the fix is the same: ask the person who invited you to send a new one. See Members and roles.

"The security check couldn't load"

Some of the sign-in forms run a check that you're a person and not a script. It loads from Cloudflare, so an ad blocker or a strict privacy extension can stop it. Allow challenges.cloudflare.com and reload the page.

A deactivated or suspended account

Deactivated means the owner of a workspace has taken your access away. Have a word with them if you think that's a mistake.

Suspended is us, not them, and it's rare. Get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Several accounts at once

You can be signed in to up to five Nydli accounts in the same browser, say a personal one and a company one. Add account in the account menu signs you into another without signing you out of the ones you already have, and the same menu switches between them.
